FOSCARINI LIGHTING_ITALY: EXHIBITED AT SUPERSALONE & IS SHOWROOM IN MILAN

For the 2021 edition of Milan Design Week – a year in which the design industry is getting back on its feet after long months of the pandemic – Foscarini is participating in two different locations and formats:

At the SuperSalone, Rho/Milan
The company transform its exhibition space into an interpretative tool with the goal of sharing the VITE project with a larger audience for the First time – ever in a physical space. This project Was created by photographer, artist, and director Gianluca Vassallo and writer Flavio Soriga.
Like many multi – lateral cultural projects, VITE is complex and can’t be defined by just one format – it is a book of stories, a series of short films and a collection of photographs. VITE serves a multitude of purposes -- it Is a combination of art, anthropological analysis, lifestyle inspiration, and A communicative process. VITE uses multiple media forms and draws inspiration from a wide Range of sources. The project first and foremost offers a point of view – it represents Foscarini's desire to focus on people To showcase light, rather than the products themselves – that is, from The perspective of the people who experience light in their personal space, inner sanctuary, and home rather than from the perspective of those who design, develop, and create it. Not only that, at the SuperSalone, VITE also becomes an art installation with an unpublished site – specific video created by Gianluca Vassallo. An intense story that reveals the project through the emotions of those who discover it for the first time. With his keen eye and profound sensitivity, Vassallo has in fact captured the reactions of ordinary people, women and men of different ages, passions, places, as they browse the volume. Once again, therefore, Foscarini, with the multifaceted artist, shifts the focus from the narration of light and its products to a story of people, of lives. The project will allow audiences to first learn how the company conceives light, and later explore the products that bring this vision to life.

At the Milan showroom in Corso Monforte,
Foscarini will showcase the preview of two lamps created in collaboration by renowned designers Rodolfo Dordoni, and Alberto + Francesco Meda.
