SYNTHOS POLAND is one of the largest manufacturers of chemical raw materials

The company is the first European manufacturer of emulsion rubbers and the biggest European manufacturer of expandable polystyrene. Synthos S.A. is one of the winners of “Investor Without Borders”, the award granted by the organisers of the European Economic Congress. The prestigious awards were granted to companies, the investments of which are a strong developmental impulse for the Polish economy.

Winners of the “Investor Without Borders” awards were foreign investors in Poland and Polish companies investing abroad.
Among other things, the scale of investments, their influence on the potential of Polish economy, the innovative nature (transfer of technology and know-how), the significance of investments for the Polish labour market and for the building of the Polish brand around the world were taken into consideration. Synthos was recognized for the important and bold acquisition in European chemistry, i.e. the last year’s acquisition of Ineos Styrenics. Investments are not only the engine for growth but also the real building block of economy and the synonym of its development. The “Investor Without Borders” competition is an opportunity for us to reward the best investment practices which we may observe on the Polish and global markets. The candidates were nominated by representatives of the business environment, economic self-government institutions, as well as governmental agencies and institutions involved in attracting investors and supporting Polish economic expansion abroad, says Wojciech Kuśpik, the President of the PTWP Group, the initiator of the project. The awards were presented on 10 May during the evening gala closing the first day of the 9th European Economic Congress (ECC) in Katowice.
