THE KNIGHT OF LABOR MARCO FANTONI HAS PASSED AWAY

The Knight of Labor Marco Fantoni died after a long illness at the age of 90 years, leaving a teaching of foresight, passion, will, tenacity and dinamism in the world of panel industry.
Marco Fantoni, son of the entrepreneur Giovanni Fantoni from Gemona, at the end of the 1940s took over from his father in the management of the Fantoni industry in Osoppo (Udine), giving a considerable and strong impetus to the development of the Group, particularly in the production of MDF panels (Medium Density Fiberboard).

In the mid-1970s, the Intamasa MDF factory in Teruel / Spain (today Finsa Utisa) was built on the initiative and push of the machinery industry for the production of panels with High Frequency, by the American Washington Iron Works.
Marco Fantoni, assisted by his brother Piero, saw the remarkable development of MDF in the future and on 15 December 1979 in Osoppo the first European MDF plant - with Italian Pagnoni technologies - and the name Plaxil came into operation.
Is sufficient to know that:  Today in 18 European countries with MDF 59 industries they have a capacity of 15 million m3/year, And that the first MDF plant  in Germany was put in operation only in 1987 at Beverboard of Bevern (today Egger).
I do not dwell on listing the industries that Marco Fantoni built - for example the Novolegno di Montefredane (Avellino) on 27 July 1982 - in Friuli and the acquisitions of industries abroad, but I want to express my sincere condolences to the Fantoni family, of my family and my publishing house.
Marco Fantoni was "A Great" and certainly he has left and will leave an indelible memory of his qualities as "The One" and I like to think that now he is be cradled by his wife Alessandra and by the angels of heaven.>>
