The history of the steel factory begins in 1907. In the same position in which we have our production and other operations today. When Oscar André started the Stolfabriksaktiebolaget in Smålandstenar it was no a case. There were very strong reasons. There was closeness to the best raw materials and wide access to loyal and diligent work. There was also a lot of knowledge about woodworking in the region.
Swivel chairs, and again swivel chairs. The business concept was clear from the start. At Stolfabriksaktiebolaget, the pinned chairs would have been made of birch. This is what people needed and wanted. The basic idea of the business concept has since been accompanied by us and developed over the years. We have managed to overcome two world wars and have overcome many milestones. We are a very true story, just over 110 years old.
