SARAWAK TIMBER & SMES EXPO, 18-21 MAY 2017, MALAYSIA

The third bi-annual SARAWAK TIMBER & SME’s EXPO 2017 jointly organized by the Sarawak Timber industry Development Corporation (STIDC) and the Ministry of Industrial & Entrepreneur Development, Trade & Investment, Sarawak (MIETI) will be held on 18th – 21th May 2017 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. The Expo is also organized in conjunction with the State level Small & Medium Entrepreneurs (SMEs) Week 2017 celebration.

The Expo is a perfect platform for suppliers and manufacturers of timber and non-timber products and SMEs entrepreneurs to show-case and promote trade and sales of their products. As a “One-Stop-Centre”, the Expo is an ideal avenue to generate potential business opportunities and networking. This year’s Expo will feature over 400 booths and 200 exhibitors occupying a in space of 10,844 Sqm. More than 10,000 visitors (local and international) are expected to visit the Expo. With a theme “Timber & Beyond”, emphasis will be promoting the utilization of bamboo and planted tree especially Acacia as the alternative and future material for sustainable timber industry in the future. The Expo will show-case and promote a wide variety of timber and non-timber products ranging from plywood, fiberboard, wood pellet, doors, decking, flooring, furniture and other finished products.
SME’s products on display will include the famous Sarawak layered cake, food & beverages, health & beauty products, textiles & garments and handicrafts, among others.
