Titus Group will be exhibiting its latest hardware and damping solutions at MIFF Malaysia, 5-9 March 2013.

Visitors to the Titus Group stand at MIFF Malaysia will have the opportunity to experience their latest product innovations: Glissando TL 2nd Generation of add-on hinge damper, Titus soft closing system for wooden and metal drawers, technology for factory insertion of cams and dowels, Titus range of connectors designed for high drilling tolerances and Titus multipurpose damping technology. All Titus products enable furniture and hardware manufactures to improve their competitiveness. Glissando TL 2nd Generation of add-on hinge damping
The 2nd Generation of Glissando TL is and improved version of the Glissando TL, add-on hinge damper. The 2nd Generation product has a sleeker housing which enhances the look of the hinge. Its wider damping scope allows for a confident soft closing on a variety of doors. It retains the standard Glissando ‘One for All’ feature with one item fitting the whole range of ST 110 snap-on and Basic 110 slide-on hinges. Thanks to adjustable damping force it provides a consistent soft closing action on doors of different sizes and weights.

Titusoft – soft closing system for wooden and metal drawers
Titusoft is a universal add-on damping system that delivers soft closing feature to standard wooden and metal drawers. Intuitive installation and positioning above the drawer slide on the front side of the cabinet allows for simple, fast and precise mounting. The result is a stress-free user assembly process and reliable functioning on different types of drawers with no bounce-back. Installation needs no pre-drillings and can be made during the furniture assembly or later, when the furniture is already in use.

Titus range of connectors designed for high drilling tolerances
The range of technically advanced Cam3000 and Quickfit TL dowel combination helps furniture manufacturers to overcome inaccurate drillings that can result from marginal inconsistencies in the drilling process as well as from the natural movement of wood-based panels. Quickfit TL2 dowel with in-built self-adjustment feature and enhanced cam profile provides an ETHC tolerance (Edge To Hole Center) of +/-1mm on drilling operation. The final result is a perfectly precise and aligned joint and improved quality of product.

Technology for factory insertion of cams and dowels
Titus now offers the market a unique solution for factory automatic insertion of cams and dowels consisting of the Lama FastFit machine from Titus Technologies, the latest Titus generation of cams, the Cam3000 and the dowel Quickfit TL which is the only dowel at the market allowing for pre-insertion.The technology for factory insertion of cams and dowels provides furniture manufacturers with an opportunity to increase end user satisfaction with easier and faster home furniture assembly as well as to lower the efforts on bagging and risk of claims.Pre-inserted cams and dowels shorten considerably the time needed to assemble the furniture with less parts, less actions to assemble and reduced complexity of the assembly procedure. Furthermore, the risk of parts to go missing in transit, packing or on site is diminished.The insertion machinery can be fully integrated into existing panel processing lines or used on a stand-alone basis The machine is of standard modular construction. Consequently, installations can be highly flexible and tailored to specific customer needs in terms of connectors to be inserted and panel sizes and throughput rates.

Titus damper for ovens
The Titus range of multi-purpose damping technology has been enlarged with a solution appropriate for damping of objects with greater load which can operate in an extended temperature range. It is effective in temperatures between -20 and +120°C and is especially appropriate for use in oven doors. Its progressive feature keeps the unpleasant bounce-back effect to a minimum.
It is conceived to deliver a life-long reliable and consistent damping and will improve the user experience by making the opening or closing of the appliance door soft, silent and safer.
