HAPPY YEAR FROM LORIS ZANASI, CEO OF IMAL-PAL GROUP, ITALY
IMAL, PAL and GLOBUS, three well familiar names in the wood-based panel industry for over 40 years, joined forces to form a group that is renowned worldwide for its long experience in wood particle preparation, gluing and resining, on-line quality controls, process controls, board handling and in particular for its continual innovation.
The group has spent the last few years developing and investing in forming and continuous press technology to complete its range of products and to become a reliable and competitive partner for the supply of complete lines for the production of PB, MDF, OSB, insulation board, pellets and pallet blocks. Over the last ten years however, in their constant endeavor to evolve and progress, the group has adapted and applied their long experience, know-how and innovative solutions to move into new markets in the wood industry such as biomass energy plants, drying systems and power generation. Recently, the group has also designed new systems for the treatment of industrial and municipal waste to maximize material recovery for the production of energy and minimize the waste to landfill sites. The production with a continuous plant: width mm.2500 with the panel of thickness 6 mm to 40 mm. The standard sizes are: 250x5000, 2070x2770, 2050x3050, 1250x5000, 1250x4000, 1250x3000, 1250x2800, 1250x2650, 1250x2500 and 1220x2440. The most important characteristics of the I-Pan panels are: -Density (EN 323)= 530-560 Kg/m3 - Modulus of elasticity long/transverse (EN 310), N/mm2=20/10 - Internal cohesion (EN 319)= 0.32 N/mm2 – Swelling 24h (EN 317)= 15% - Moister Content (EN 322)_5-12% - Resistance to surface extraction of the screw/side (EN 320), N=NA – Thickness tolerance (calibrated) mm= +/- 0.3 – Length/Width, mm=+/- 3.0 – Tolerance on squaring, mm/m=2.0.
