The Arjowiggins Tracing Papers business comprises of two mills, Chartham Mill near Canterbury in the UK & Quzhou Mill in China, and is part of the Arjowiggins Paper Group with headquarters in Paris, France. Within the group, Arjowiggins Tracing Papers is part of the Creative Papers business.
Both of our mills are dedicated to the production of tracing paper (translucent paper) which we supply to converters and distributors worldwide for use in traditional, graphic & industrial applications. With many years of experience we have refined the art of paper-making in combination with state-of-the-art process technology. Over the years we have developed a comprehensive portfolio of translucent paper products and we are always happy to discuss ideas for new product applications. CHARTHAM MILL Chartham Mill is situated in the South East of England in the county of Kent. It first started producing paper in 1738. Our current product, tracing paper, was introduced 200 years later under the Gateway name and is now recognised throughout the world as the leading brand of translucent paper. Today Chartham Mill combines traditional and modern processing technology to offer the market a wide range of products, including clear tracing paper in a wide range of grammages as well as coloured and bespoke translucent papers. Credentials: OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 9961, FDA & FSC Chain of Custody. QUZHOU MILL With the growing importance of the Far East in international trade, Arjowiggins acquired a new tracing paper mill in China in 2007. In the following years the two mills have co-operated very closely and today Quzhou Mill offers paper to the same excellent quality as Chartham Mill. Quzhou Mill is situated South West of Shanghai in the province of Zhejiang and serves the domestic Chinese market as well as Asian export markets.
