Fantoni Group receives Italian Innovation Prize from Republic’s President hands and ADI’s Design Index 2008

On, 8th June during a very private cerimony at the Quirinale, Italy’s President, Giorgio Napolitano, presented the nazional award recently created by the Ministry of Public Affairs and Innovation. For Patt – Fantoni Group the prize has been awarded for the technological innovation of Climacustic, the new radiant and sound absorption system deviced by the Research Centre which allows over 30% of energy saving and improves the quality of life in environments. Climacustic will be awarded the prestigious ADI Design Index 2008 on 1st July.
Double important appreciation for the innovative Climacustic system: The prestigious award, recently created by the Ministry of Public Affairs and Innovation, is awarded to Patt - Fantoni Group upon recommendation of ADI, the Association for Industrial Design – for the development and introduction of Climacustic design by eng. Christian Tomadini, employee of Fantoni Group.
In these days Climacustic is receiving the ADI Design Index at the Milano Triennale, the first step for the final selection for the Compasso d'Oro award.
Climacustic is system made of a sound absorption panel and a radiant part on the back of the panel in which circulates a liquid. The liquid circulates through an 8-mm PE-Xc w/ oxygen barrier pipe and, in order to avoid heat dispersion in height, the MDF panel is joined to an insulating polystyrene layer. An aluminium sheet makes temperature distribution even on the whole surface of the module. Such conditioning system guarantees the best level of wellbeing with a double advantage both from the acoustic and environment point of view and, above all, curbs energy consumption of over 30% in comparison with traditional systems.
Besides the prestigious value of these official prizes, they testify the result of an extended process supported by the research activities and developments at different levels within the Group. The development of glues and resins, of panels, the technology for melamine facing, the know-how in the field of thermo-dynamics and acoustics and finally the knowledge of the market and its needs.
For this reason the Italian Prize for Innovation and the ADI Design Index 2008 are an award for the Fantoni Group in all its member and for that eclectic expertise and knowledge which make the work of this company a unique experience.
