Claudio Luti (Kartell) is the new President of Salone del Mobile

Claudio Luti is the new President of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, selected by Federlegno Arredo Eventi’s Business Unit Committee. His mandate is specifically to oversee the Salone del Mobile brand and its trade fair activities, with operational delegated powers, alongside Marco Sabetta, General Manager, and Andrea Vaiani, Exhibition Director.

Mr Luti, who previously served as president of the Salone from 2012 to 2014, will be involved in a project to further bolster the image and leadership role of the Salone di Milano. He had this to say: “I was delighted to accept the invitation of the new President of Federlegno Arredo Eventi, Emanuele Orsini, to take on this mandate, because I believe in the Salone del Mobile and in its strategic importance for Milan. In my view it is absolutely crucial to preserve Milan’s centrality as the world hub of design and planning and to keep focusing on catalysing the attention not just of architects, designers and trade operators on the Salone, but also, as has been the case for several years, that of international stakeholders and trendsetters.” The 2017 edition is almost upon us.
The Salone del Mobile is taking place from 4th to 9th April with a calendar of events running alongside the huge range of products showcased by more than 2,000 companies at the trade fair. "I am picking up the good work done by my predecessor for this edition”, continued Mr Luti. “Along with the business colleagues who will form part of the new team at my side, it will be my job to immediately start planning how to structure an organisation whose job it is to protect a brand recognised at world level and which must continue to be the best possible representation of the work and investments carried out by our companies.”
