BATIMAT, the building of the future and focusing on tomorrows construction industry in Paris/France, 2-6 November 2015.
The Building of the Future area presents the new solutions and prototypes that will set the standards for tomorrow's construction industry.
Sponsored by the Plan de Transition Numérique dans le Bâtiment (Plan for digital transition in construction) the area will act as a customer-centred guided tour with solutions tailored to the building's utilisation and life cycle. Visitors will be totally immersed in the trends and technologies spearheading tomorrow's construction industry. There will be opportunities to discover and test new design tools (such as digital modelling and 3D imaging), connected solutions for building design and management and new ways to industrialise implementation technologies (3D printing, prefabrication, exoskeletons, etc.).
The Building of the Future area will be at the centre of the IT and New Technology space in Hall 5B. Covering 330mq. The Building of the Future area will host a daily competition linking students and industry professionals. It asks teams to plan a building or renovation project before the trade show. They will then be invited to finalise it on site, in half a day or a day. Each day, a group of professional experts will examine the projects and select one winning team. The winning projects will be exhibited in the Building of the Future area, announced to media partners and promoted via the show's press team.
