SEGEZHA GROUP IS RUSSIA’S THIRD-BIGGEST THE WORLD’S SEVENTH-BIGGEST MANUFACTURER OF LARGE-SIZE BIRCH PLYWOOD.

Segezha Group was awarded the title of “2017 Best Supplier of the Russian Lumber” as the best supplier of coniferous sawn timber from Russia at the annual meeting with stakeholders, held on January 29 in Beijing.

Xiamen BNBM Group annually evaluates its suppliers on a number of criteria, including the proportion of the supply volume in the portfolio, quality of products and execution of contracts, post-sale services, and potential for strategic cooperation. The total volume of sawn lumber imported in 2017, produced by woodworking enterprises of Segezha Group amounted to more than 150,000 cubic meters. Within the framework of the 3rd stage of modernization, Segezha PPM updated the forest and wood equipment; it was updated and modernized a new wood chipper No. 1, a slasher-sawing machine, two debarking drums and two flows supply balance system. As a result of modernization, in January 2018 a record was achieved for the production of wood chips of own cutting with 8% increase in the quality of wood chips produced by the stream. Segezha Group is Russia’s third-biggest the world’s seventh-biggest manufacturer of large-size birch plywood. Plywood manufactured by Segezha Group is exported to more than 50 countries of the world. Birch plywood is manufactured by Vyatsky Plywood Mill (Kirov, Kirov Oblast). In 2017, a new modern plant will be launched, for manufacture of hi-tech birch plywood.
The overall annual production volume of Vyatsky Plywood Mill and Kirovsky Plywood Mill will amount to 181,000 m3. Cross-grained and long-grained plywood is manufactured by Segezha Group from 100% birch veneers. Birch plywood provides for stable high quality, due to the use of high-quality materials, state-of-the-art technologies, high level of general technical outfit, and strict control over all the stages of production process, together with staff professionalism.
Plywood is manufactured according to the requirements of Russian and foreign standards. The production facilities have ISO-9001:2008, FSC and CARB (ULEF) certificates, as well as European CE Certification.
