Duratex do Brazil is the largest industrialized wood panel, metal fittings and sanitary.

It is the Brazilian market leader in laminated flooring with the Durafloor brand, and in metal fittings and sanitary ware with the Deca and Hydra brands.

The company's business model combines the practice of sustainability in its operations and in the communities where it is present, with compliance to legislation, risk monitoring, environmental preservation and social responsibility. It is a private and publicly traded Brazilian company with shared control by the Itaúsa - Investimentos Itaú SA and Companhia Ligna de Investimentos conglomerates and is head quarter in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
It has 10,100 employees working in 13 manufacturing plants strategically located in the states of Sao Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Paraíba and Rio de Janeiro, as well as a unit in Argentina. This structure gives Duratex a production capacity of nearly 4 million cubic meters per year in wood paneling, 6 million square meters per year in laminated flooring, 1.5 million square meters per year in components and almost 23 million metal fittings and/or sanitary ware units. In addition, Duratex has approximately 226,000 hectares of planted forests, mainly eucalyptus, in seven forestry units in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Sul.
The company has received two certifications: ISO 14001 and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), the first of which was implemented in the Botucatu and Lençóis Paulista farms (São Paulo State) and the second applies to 78% of the company's forests in São Paulo State and to 85% of the company's forests in Minas Gerais State. Duratex is carbon neutral in its emissions and is listed on the CCX (Chicago Climate Exchange). The industrial areas adopt an Environmental Management System that allows performance monitoring of wastewater treatment and proper disposal of solid waste, as well as actions aimed at reducing emissions and energy consumption. This Duratex business area is responsible for manufacturing wood panels from pine and eucalyptus. These products are widely used by the furniture industry. The wood panel line includes fiber boards, agglomerate panels, and, medium-, high- and super-density panels (MDF, HDF and SDF). The Durafloor laminated flooring, and ceiling and wall coverings are manufactured from those products.
