Previously, he spent a number of years at mechanical engineering group Werner & Pfleiderer – most recently as Managing Director at Coperion with international responsibilities.
In addition to the moulders and window processing machines business segments, he is also responsible for the production locations in Tauberbischofsheim and Yantai, China. Gregor Baumbusch, Wolfgang Pöschl, Gerald Schmidt Gregor Baumbusch, Chief Sales Officer With effect from 1 January 2015, Gregor Baumbusch has assumed responsibility as Chief Sales Officer (CSO) in the areas of sales and marketing on the management board at WEINIG AG. Most recently, the graduate mechanical engineer worked as Sales Director and member of senior management at a world-leading supplier of precision tools. With the experienced salesman WEINIG wishes to further expand its leading position worldwide. Gerald Schmidt, Chief Financial Officer On 1 October 2011, Gerald Schmidt succeeded Karl Wachter as Chief Financial Officer. Previously, the MBA graduate had worked for Behr GmbH + Co KG since 1991 in a variety of roles – most recently as a member of the executive board. In 2010, he joined Vaillant GmbH as Group Finance Director.
This international experience has helped the financial expert to steer the successful development of the WEINIG Group. Dr. Thomas Bach, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, President of the IOC Performance athlete, sports official, solicitor, executive - the CV, which includes a doctorate in law and political science, fills four pages. The successful fencer and Olympic champion has held roles including Director for International Relations at Adidas, member of the advisory committee to the Federal Ministry of Economics and consultant for Siemens AG. Since 1998, he has been at the helm of the Supervisory Board at Michael Weinig AG. In addition – following numerous leading roles in the world of sport – he has been IOC President since 2013. In short: Dr. Thomas Bach combines excellent foreign language skills with a wealth of experience that could not be more valuable to the company.
