EPF 2019 ANNUAL MEETING COMPLETED AT DUNBLANE/ SCOTLAND

The EPF (European Panel Federation) ended last Saturday in Dunblane/ Scotland, with the participation of 120 panel manufacturers, technologies suppliers, chemical resin manufacturers and industry experts.

The Assembly met with great success for the interesting information, for the current updates and future prospects for the sector. br>
The European Production data for wood-based panels in 2018 showed a total increase of 1,7% to 59.3 million m3. Particleboard increase by 2,6%.
MDF decrease by 0,5% and OSB decline by 1,6%. Meanwhile, hardboard increased by 1,5%. Soft-board by 5,9% and plywood by 1,7%. These positive production figures were tempered by an increase in stocks at the end of the period.
Production capacities are fundamentally stable with limited increases expected, reflecting very cautions behaviour on the part of the manufacturers.
