New Director of Scottish Forestry Trust

The Scottish Forestry Trust has announced on the 29th August that Bob Stubbs has been appointed to the post of Director. Bob will take up the role from the beginning of December, following the retirement of the current Director, David Rook.
A forestry graduate from Aberdeen, Bob worked in both forest management and the timber processing industry before following a career in economic and rural development with Highlands and Islands Enterprise. There he worked in a number of sectors including forest industries, food and drink and agriculture before leaving in March this year to take up other interests. At HIE he gained considerable experience in developing, commissioning and monitoring research projects.
He was appointed Chair of the Scottish Forest Industries Advisory Board in May and sits on a number of forest industry forums within Scotland. John Kissock, Trust Chair, said on behalf of the trustees, “We are pleased to be able to appoint someone of Bob’s experience and abilities and look forward to him taking the Trust forward in the future”.
