ProHolzfenster Association profiles window value chain at LIGNA 2013: “Timber and timber/aluminum windows – good for everyone!”

Germany’s ProHolzfenster wood window industry association (BPH) will return to this year’s LIGNA fair, which runs from 6 to 10 May in Hannover, Germany, with a new group pavilion. The pavilion will provide more space for the participating member companies and will be sited in a different location – Hall 15, Stands A14 and B14. The focus of this year’s BPH showcase will be on the timber and timber/aluminum windows sector. Visitors to the BPH pavilion will find a veritable treasure trove of contacts and information for manufacturers, planners and decision makers with an interest in high-quality, sustainable windows.
The BPH pavilion will once again showcase the dynamic nature and innovative power of Germany’s timber and timber/aluminum window industry, which have made it a global market leader. Its members offer a huge variety of products and technologies, from modern window systems; windows for historic buildings, energy-saving and passive houses; new manufacturing systems, modified timbers, surface technologies and fastening systems; to window assembly accessories and much more. For example, visitors to this year’s BPH presentation will be able see a new alternative to timber/aluminum windows that features clip-on flashing made of modified timber rather than aluminum.
Growing market acceptance of wood as a renewable material has also left its mark on the window manufacturing sector. More and more architects and building owners are specifying modern building components that meet the highest ecological and performance standards.
Facilitating networking and knowledge sharing is a key part of the BHP’s work, which is why a visit to the BHP group pavilion at LIGNA 2013 is an absolute must for all stakeholders in the building and construction industry.
