UC COATING USA: HISTORY OF INNOVATION, QUALITY & SERVICE SINCE 1971

1971 U-C Coatings began as Upson Chemical Company when Gerard E. “Red” Murray acquired two companies, Upson Chemical and Bates Industries. As a two person operation, the company provided products for the xerographic and photographic paper industries as well as specialty release coatings for other industries. Five years later, Red’s son, Norman Murray, joined his parents in the operation of their small but growing family business.
