International Architecture Award : “Colour: a material for architecture”

The International Architecture Award “COLOUR: a material for architecture” is promoted by the magazine "FRAMES - Architettura dei serramenti" in conjunction with Finstral, Impronta, Novelis, Oddicini, Pellini, Sikkens, Somfy and with the sponsorship of SAIEDUE, UNCSAAL and FEDERLEGNO-ARREDO.
Content: The aim of the competition is to pinpoint the best architectural solutions, which have adopted colour for the technical or formal definition of the actual internal or external settings. The Competition is open to town planning projects and completed works involving colour, colour restorations, the building of contemporary buildings for any type of use, temporary structures or installations, scenography for special events, interior design, research and jobs involving the perception of colour, communication, chromo therapy and other architectural based applications, the introduction of environmental mitigation of products through the use of colour.
The projects entered may apply colour through the use of any kind of material.

Participation: International (the official languages are Italian and English). The competition is split into two sections with separate ratings in order to promote participation and debate in many professional and academic settings: First section (professional designers): for architects, engineers and designers in general, registered in professional Rolls and Registers. This section is dedicated to projects to be developed and/or already implemented projects, where colour is used in compliance with the contents of the premise. Second section (students): the works presented by the students must be co-ordinated by a university or institute lecture with research works and/or theses that provide for architecture designs employing the features mentioned in the premise.
Total prize money: Euro 15,000.00
