Metso Panelboard delivers supplementary equipment to Advance Fiber Co. Ltd.'s new fiberboard production line in Karnchanaburi, Thailand. Metso Panelboard received the order for the MDF production line earlier this year. The new high-speed line is primarily designed to produce thin MDF.
The additional order includes a complete Metso Energy Plant with a capacity of 46 Gcal/h, a fully automatic Lukki™ Intermediate Storage System and a high-speed sanding line.
Advance Fiber evaluated several energy plant solutions for this project and came to the conclusion that Metso's solution will provide them with most benefits in terms of thermal efficiency, low emissions and utilization of fuel wood.
The extremely high production speed and capacity of the plant require a reliable panel storage system and sanding line. Metso's Lukki™ system is indisputably the most flexible on the market and also the only system capable of handling sensitive thin boards without damaging the surface.  
Earlier this year Metso won the contract to supply a continuous MDF production line to Vanachai Group Public Company Ltd. in Thailand. These orders further strengthen Metso Panelboard's position as the main supplier to the panelboard industry in the region.
