When it
comes to purchasing household
appliances, most consumers don't
give much thought to components as
a rule, although nothing could
function without these products.
After all, these concealed and
often underappreciated details are
packed full of sophisticated
technology, which is how they can
make the complex functions of
large and small appliances
possible. To emphasise the
importance of these components,
they will be presented on their
own at next year's domotechnica,
which will be held from 13th to
16th February 2006. The components
presentation will feature the
latest new products and
innovations. And anyone who thinks
this means simply bolts, hoses and
sleeves is in for a surprise:
High-tech pumps, state-of-the-art
control electronics and fittings
featuring the latest user-friendly
designs have long been strong
selling points for the entire home
appliance industry and the
specialist trade.
At next year's domotechnica,
this development and the potential
associated with it will be given
the treatment it deserves -
components will be presented in
their own section. The companies
that will be exhibiting their
latest products include Danfoss (Germany),
ebm-papst (Germany), Cherry (Germany),
S.E.C.E - Società Europea
Componenti Elettriciti (Italy),
BJB GmbH (Germany), Vossloh
Schwabe (Italy), and Electrolux
Home Products S/A (Belgium/Italy).
So far, 160 suppliers have
registered to exhibit at the
components section of the fair.
Other exhibitors from Italy, the
UK, Turkey, Taiwan and China will
present their products in group
participations.
At domotechnica 2006, trade
visitors from development
departments in the household
appliances sector will enjoy a
real journey of discovery, drawing
on the full spectrum of the
supplier industry's products to
generate new momentum for
improving their own products. And
for R&D experts at companies that
manufacture household appliances,
whose job it is to design the
appliances of the future,
domotechnica 2006 will be an event
that's not to be missed.
And conversely, the fair will
open the door for component
manufacturers to export markets.
They will have the opportunity to
present their products to
suppliers of large and small
household appliances who have come
to Cologne from all over the
world. Experience has shown that
representatives of many
non-exhibitors, who are not
represented at domotechnica with
their own stands, will be present
at the fair to view the
comprehensive range of products
and carry out international
benchmarking.
As a result of the attention
the segment will receive,
producers of components and
household appliances will be able
to meet directly with trade
visitors to exchange information,
make new contacts and establish
and strengthen business
relationships. Since around 80 per
cent of exhibitors are expected to
come from abroad, there is great
potential for manufacturers of
components to meet new customers
from all over the world. This will
also give them the opportunity to
secure their share of the world
market.
In short, suppliers of
components are offered a double
sales strategy. On the one hand,
they can present their range of
products and conduct business with
the representatives of exhibiting
companies and companies that are
not exhibiting at domotechnica
whom they have invited to their
stands. On the other, they can pay
a visit to the stands of existing
and potential customers who are
exhibiting at domotechnica 2006 to
make comparisons, negotiate
business deals and conduct sales.
