On 11th October 2005 there will
be Launch of the Timber Trade
Action Plan (TTAP). The TTAP is
an industry response to the EU’s
Forest Law Enforcement
Governance and Trade (FLEGT)
Action Plan. It is a joint
initiative financed by the EC,
the Tropical Forest Trust and
members of European timber trade
organizations in Belgium, The
Netherlands and the UK. The aim
is to increase the volume of
European trade in verifiably
legal timber and timber products.
Overall management of TTAP is
vested in the Tropical Forest
Trust.
