After more
than 10 years continuous economics
development, Vietnam GDP reached 9% per
year averaged. Vietnam became as one of
the most potential markets in industrial
machinery and equipment. Apart from this
remarkable figure, Vietnamese industrial
sectors and exports have gradually
reached better figures of 15% and 25%
per year respectively. Vietnamese
economy situation has changed and faces
a new stage to joining the world
globalization.
Figures from
the Ministry of Trade showed the country
earned US$560 million from woodwork
exports in 2003, a 28.7% increase over
2002. Vietnam's wooden furniture exports
are set to rise to US$ 1 billion in
2004, nearly 50 percent up on 2003
export estimates.
Vietnam's
woodwork export revenue from the US
market has leapt seven-fold over the
past three years, surging to $93.4
million in 2003 compared to just $13
million in 2001. The US has become the
third largest importer of Vietnamese
furniture, after the EU and Japan with
imports of $163.3 million and $110.9
million respectively.
The fair

it attracts the industry representatives,
entrepreneurs, decision-makers,
government representatives and numerous
journalists, this event gives high value
to the Vietnam market and let exhibitors
